Shanghai + Suzhou + Hangzhou in 3 Days

This is the classic Yangtze Delta loop, and high-speed rail is what makes it fit into three days — roughly an hour between each stop. Shanghai supplies the skyline, Suzhou the classical gardens and canal lanes, Hangzhou the lake and tea country. One direction, no backtracking.

All legs by high-speed rail, roughly 1 hour each (Shanghai → Suzhou 30 min, Suzhou → Hangzhou 1.5 hr).

Day 1 — Shanghai in One Day, Puxi Side

    On the waterfront before the crowds — an early start, because this is the only day the loop spends in Shanghai

    Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street

    Cut back east through the neon on foot — it ends at the Bund, where the evening walk begins

    • Lujiazui Night Lights — Watch the Pudong towers light up from a riverside terrace

    Bund Night Walk

    A local guide walks you along the Bund after dark — the lit-up Pudong skyline, the historic waterfront façades, and the stories behind them. English-led, max 8 guests. Ends 20:30, ahead of tomorrow's 08:30 train.
